Veyr

The Veyr are corrupted remnants of the Celestial Paladins—once radiant guardians, now twisted by the Mist into something feral and unrecognizable. Their humanoid forms remain, but their bodies are hardened like cracked earth, their features sharpened into something predatory, and their eyes glow with a corrupted light that reflects what they have become. They move with unnatural speed and precision, climbing, leaping, and stalking their prey with clawed, elongated feet. Most wear only ragged cloth and markings of war, though in rare moments, a faint, dying sparkle beneath their skin reveals a truth, they were not always like this.

Driven by a corruption that rewards violence, the Veyr exist in a brutal cycle of bloodshed and decay. They hunt in packs, using fear as a weapon as much as their claws, blending fractured Paladin discipline with savage instinct. Their emotions have been twisted beyond recognition, fear becomes frenzy, joy becomes cruelty, and anger becomes insatiable hunger. Yet even within their darkness, something lingers. Brief moments of clarity can surface, disorienting them—reminders of who they once were.
