Murkwatcher
Mist Aligned
Murkwatchers are small, mist-aligned creatures that exist not to kill, but to observe, follow, and quietly unravel the calm of those they watch. Low to the ground and built for concealment, their hunched, sinewy forms blend seamlessly into shadow and forest—skin like damp bark, long clawed limbs, and glowing yellow eyes that seem to linger just outside direct view. They scuttle and cling rather than walk, repositioning quickly when unnoticed, often appearing again and again in the same place… always watching.
They rarely strike, but their presence is deliberate. Through faint, irregular clicking sounds and fleeting glimpses in the corner of the eye, Murkwatchers apply steady psychological pressure—eroding confidence, heightening fear, and marking those who are vulnerable. They retreat when confronted directly, yet never truly leave, often signaling that something far worse is coming. They are not the danger itself… but the warning that the darkness has already taken notice.
